Davaakhuu, Ž. Modernization and transformation of Tesco Expres Brno Mali-novského to 24/7 automatized outlet. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of in-store marketing in a gro-cery shop Tesco Expres Brno Malinovského. The main aim of the thesis is to evalu-ate the possibilities and propose recommendations for the modernization and transformation od the store to a hybrid mode in order to increase sales. To achieve the determined aims the study combined benchmarking, qualitative and quantita-tive techniques including questionnaire inquiry, personal visits of two stores and interview with the manager, employees and customers of the shop. The question-naire survey assesses 101 respondents. Based on the evaluated survey layout, rec-ommendations were suggested, including a new layout of the property and an ar-rangement of the range of products.
The concept of an information retail technology

This bachelor thesis deals with the information technology used in retails. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the selected information technology in the selected retail and based on the results of the questionnaire survey to propose recommendations and changes to this technology. The theoretical basis explains concepts such as information technology, information system, hardware, software and marketing research and further describes the specific types of information systems and technology. The largest part is devoted to the information systems and technologies, because these two concepts are the most important for understanding the issues of the selected topic. In the practical part,the research is carried out on the technology of self-service cash registers in the Tesco retail chain. Based on the research results, various recommendations and changes are proposed for better efficiency of the use of the self-service cash registers. And greater satisfaction of the customer requierments.
Consumers' attitudes to the Innovation in Retail Sale

The aim of the diploma thesis "Consumers' attitudes to the Innovation in Retail Sale" was to assess the perceptions and the attitudes of domestic customers to the innovation in retail and suggest some improvement for a retailer. The thesis is divided into the two parts - theoretical and practical. The first part is a theoretical base of the topic. Information for this literature research were acquired from literature, web resources, and professional articles. The second part of the thesis deals with the analysis of information gained from the questionnaire survey. These data helped in the evaluation of the hypothesis too. Based on the information obtained, suggestions for improvement were written for retailers.
Technology reshaping the retail experience

The thesis deals with the influence of digital technology on retail in relation to the customer: how it affects their communication and interaction with the retailer or the whole shopping journey. First, history of retail up to the arise of e-commerce, current retail's global situation and situation in the Czech Republic is briefly summarized. Then specific aspects of brick-and-mortar and online stores are presented on the two respective typical shopping journeys. The core of the thesis is to determine the key trends, which are explained, followed by the description of technologies and presented on the specific examples of real-world solutions. Those trends include different means of goods handover (delivery, pickup or different self-service models), personalization and customization, natural language communication, virtual and augmented reality or robotization. The aim of the thesis is to define the direction in which retail will later evolve and what steps traditional retailers have to take in order to stay competitive. The thesis therefore synthesizes aspects with trends which demonstrates how trends try to solve problematic phenomena using technology. The conclusion includes a generalized conception of how retail will look like in the future, particularly a determination of two basic concepts...
The concept of an information retail technology

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe a concept of a retail information technology. Modern retail technology is really important in the present day. It offers to the costumers the extraordinary services which can make their purchasing easier. Modern technology steps up and simplifies their purchasing and paying, for example: self-checkouts. Modern technology also raises the profits of the retail companies and that´s why it´s so necessary to pay attention to the modern technology in the shops. This bachelor work is specialized in self-checkouts in the retail unit Tesco in České Budějovice. In this work you can find terms like information technology, retail store, wholesale, marketing research and new information systems. There is also a marketing survey, which consist of the questionnaire research. Based on this method there is identified how costumers perceive these modern technologies in Tesco.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize new trends and development of modern technologies in retailing, and then specify modern technologies that are most frequently used in the Czech Republic and in the world. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of trade and includes introduction of the retail sector. The second chapter deals with specific retail technologies used both on the Czech and world market. The final third chapter is dedicated to consumers and includes own marketing research that was performed in the form of a questionnaire.

The diploma thesis "Innovation in Commerce" provides an analysis of the development and usage of up-to-day innovative technologies in trade sphere both in our country and abroad. It maps their forms and scope of usage in selected trade units, primarily focusing on modern payment instruments and self-service cash desks and, further on, also from the point of view of their development and usage in the nearest future. The thesis gives an independent solution of using up-to-date payment instruments and self-service cash desks depending on the customer´s age as well as payment forms (cash, non-cash) from z point of view of differences between "rural" and urban population. The thesis includes a proposal for the implementation of two arising up-to-date technologies - self-scanning and iBeacon technology in the Terno Supermarket in České Budějovce.
